2. Semi-Classical Dance

Semi-classical dance blends the elegance of Indian classical movements with contemporary choreography. Students learn graceful expressions, hand gestures, posture, footwork, and storytelling through dance.

Best for: Students who enjoy Indian music, expressive movements, and graceful choreography.

Fundamentals of Semi-Classical Dance

Semi-Classical dance is a popular Indian dance style that bridges the gap between traditional Indian classical dance and modern choreography. It breaks away from the strict structural rules, rigorous technique, and complex step patterns (talam and nritta) of classical dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, or Kuchipudi, while keeping their gracefulexpressions, hand gestures (mudras), and aesthetic body postures.

3. Contemporary Dance

Contemporary dance focuses on fluid movements, body control, balance, and emotional expression. It allows dancers to communicate stories and feelings through creative choreography.

Best for: Students who want to explore artistic movement and expressive storytelling.

Fundamentals of Contemporary Dance

Contemporary dance is a fluid, versatile style of expressive dance that developed during the mid-20th century. It combines elements from multiple dance genres—including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet—while rejecting the strict technical rules of traditional forms. Dancers focus on connection between mind and body, floorwork, gravity, and fluid transitions.
